| About Us |
Angie was born and raised in Enumclaw, Washington. She moved to Newark, NJ in 2005 to work for Tri-City Peoples Corporation, a nonprofit community development corporation in the Upper West Side Park neighborhood of Newark. She worked there for two years as a Jesuit Volunteer, and joined the staff in 2007. This coming August, Angie is thrilled to be enrolling in the Columbia School of Social Work's Advanced Standing MSW program, which will earn her a Masters in Social Work by Spring 2009.
R.C. is also from a small town, hailing from Fairmount in southern Minnesota. He is currently in his first of three years as a student at the General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church in New York City. He is a former Jesuit Volunteer, having worked for a year in prison ministry in Boston, and is currently studying for the priesthood in the Episcopal Church.
This summer, after their honeymoon in Alaska, R.C. and Angie will be living temporarily in the Pacific Northwest while R.C. participates in a pastoral internship at St. Joseph's hospital in Tacoma.
They both love social justice, their dog Ginger, cooking, reading, and attending the opera at the Metropolitan Opera in Lincoln Center.
We can't wait to celebrate our wedding with you!

| How We Met |
Angie and R.C. met at the Brooklyn JV house during the Thanksgiving Party in November, 2005. They spoke on the phone several times after that before seeing each other again on New Year's Eve, when they walked from the Metropolitan Museum of Art to the Harlem JV house, after strolling through Central Park, past the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, and the Columbia Graduate School of Social Work, which Angie will one day attend to complete her Master's degree in social work.
